I'll actually put this one up in the original, since it's in a language unique in this tome. I believe I've translated properly, but Gaelic's tricky. (Translations in parentheses.)

Another serpent prophecy

I ran across another dealing with the Serpent on my second pass.

Seeking to crush the Serpent's tail
The old struggle begins anew
The secret world shall tremble.

A Golden Hand

A hand of Gold aids the Serpent's birth,
shattering the fetters of the soul.
The Serpent devours the binder
and wakes the sleeping Beast.

Again, I have no context for this one. Some of these come in sets, but this one was on its own.

Tessomer (?)

Abomination's children, light and dark
Turn the tide at the year's turning
Black wings circle the battlefield
And come to roost in Tessomer.

More bits of the book

I'm posting bits of prophecies as I translate them. I refuse to speculate upon their meaning. Prophecies have always mystified me.

A succession of fatalities will lay waste to the Red house;

Austria changes

Well, I said it a few days ago, and I was right. Austria's antisocial ruler, Eliza, has been 'removed' and replaced by one calling himself Rudolf. Is he *the* Rudolf? That will have to be verified by those on site, but all signs point to yes. The coronation is soon.

And now all the muscle gathered up will settle back to their various places. Those interested in such things have to be wondering where some of these forces are from... Rudolf was certainly able to dig up some serious firepower in a hurry. The nature of those forces is an eyebrow-raiser, too. Random rumors are already calling the night of the main offensive "Engelsnacht", because winged shapes were seen in the skies over parts of Austria, especially around Vienna and near the Czech border.

Late-breaking news; European drama

Is it related to the first prophecy I posted that rumor says a new power is rising in Austria? The scuttlebutt says that the recent claimant to Moldavia announced the takeover of the old Empire by "his son". Son in blood, life, or both? Rumor says both, and look out, Austria.

In local drama, the proprietress of the local night hangout is happy to announce a new blend of the wine the locals like so much - this one's called Winterfest, and supposedly carries hints of berries and holiday spiciness. The stuff's not to my taste, but hey, I'm good for a press release.

Rumor also has it that the proprietress' favorite heir's growing back his missing hand. Amazing what the Magestorm accomplished, eh?

Rebirth

Since my old blog hit hosting problems, I've started over at Blogger. It's easier than fighting hosting drama.

So, we'll start with a few translated prophecies that have come to my attention from an old book I've been helping to translate. I'm interested in the comments my readers have as to the meanings of the same. I'll list them with the reference numbers from the book, as I'm not likely to post them in order.
